Lia Zito: Irish Fiddle in Alaska

Lia Zito has performed and taught Irish fiddle across Alaska for the last 10 years. Her first CD is coming out this summer.

Instruments and styles taught: Beginning violin/fiddle(from which you can progress to any style), Irish style fiddling from beginning to advanced, and beginning Irish pennywhistle.

Teaching Method: Lessons are planned according to your goals, whether it be to become a master fiddler or just master the basics. Younger students are taught the skills needed to enjoy playing in both school orchestras and traditional sessions.

Performing: I am available to play as solo fiddle or as part of a duo or larger group. My solo music is often very stately, not what you may think of as foot-stomping pub music (though I can do that too), and very well suited for weddings and dinner music.
