Miranda studied classical and jazz piano at UAA and has taught here for six years. She teaches all styles as well as composition and improvisation.

Ga-in Choi

Ga-In is completing a degree in music education from University of Alaska Anchorage. She teaches classical and pop piano and beginning violin, and serves as a pianist at her church.

Julie Raumer

Julie Raumer
Julie is a longtime performer and teacher who moved here recently from California, where she was active in the National Piano Guild program. She specializes in classical music and young beginners.

Allison King

Allison King

Allison comes to us from Portland, where she taught piano and keyboards for 10 years and served as a church music director and recording studio musician. She teaches both classical and popular styles.

David McCormick

David McCormick
David is the owner of Hillside Music. He teaches pop, rock, blues and jazz, with an emphasis on chord theory and ear-training to equip students to begin learning music on their own.

Roger David

Roger David
Roger is pursuing a degree in music education from UAA, where he plays in the University Sinfonia. He’s also a football coach for (state champions!) West High School.

Kathryn Moore

Kathryn plays piano, cello, violin and guitar in a narrow range of styles including rock, classical, jazz, Celtic and Cajun. She’s working on a music education degree from UAA and performs with her band, the Super Saturated Sugar Strings.
